Stormy Smoking Day (Willapa)

$90.00
sold out

Every autumn salmon return to Willapa Bay, bound for the Naselle and other natal rivers. We smoke this fish each fall with gratitude - gratitude for sustenance and for the ritual, for the connection it provides us to the water and land we live on.

Over the course of the day we open the smokehouse door to check the progress, monitoring the color of the fish. When it glows a deep rosy orange laced with yellow beads of fat, we know it is nearly done.

4” x 5”

Original. Unframed.

Watercolor on paper.

For shipping, please select “Small Unframed Original.”
