My work is inspired by my reverence for the natural world.
My paintings are a celebration of the natural beauty that surrounds us, whether that’s an epic lineup of craggy mountain peaks, or a flock of geese crossing the morning sky. I hope my art helps strengthen your connection to our natural world by reminding you of places you love or inspiring you to explore somewhere new.
I work with watercolor and gouache on paper, or oil on wood panel, both in the studio and in the field. My style combines clean lines and crisp accuracy with simplified color blocks and a feeling of fluidity.
I’m a self-taught artist with a background in sustainable farming and a degree in environmental science. After years of field work I realized that my greatest opportunity to help support a society that cherishes our wild places was through art (one of my oldest pastimes).
When I’m not painting you can find me hiking, mushroom hunting, clamming, skiing, or gardening. I live in Enterprise, Oregon, with my guy and our working cow dogs and horses . When I go “back home” it’s to Oysterville, WA, on Willapa Bay.
My logo symbolizes the camaraderie I experience in nature.
