My work is inspired by my reverence for the natural world.

I paint the Western landscapes and the land based lifeways unfolding all around me. My work balances intricate geographical detail with open space and rich blocks of color, creating a feeling of expansiveness. Using watercolor or oils I explore the beauty inherent to wild places and the beauty present in a working relationship with land. I hope my art helps strengthen your connection to our natural world by reminding you of places you love or inspiring you to explore somewhere new.

I’m a self-taught artist with a background in small scale farming and a degree in environmental science. Making art avidly has been part of my life since early childhood, and in 2019 I decided to pursue painting as my full time career.

When I’m not painting hopefully I’m hiking, mushroom hunting, clamming, skiing, or gardening. I live in Enterprise, Oregon, with my guy and our working cow dogs and horses . When I go “back home” it’s to Willapa Bay, WA.
