Winging East

$250.00
sold out

14” x 11”

Watercolor and gouache on paper.

Original. Unframed.

On very clear, cold days the Seven Devils of Idaho appear to have moved closer overnight. They hulk up from the invisible canyon dividing us; their bright snow and deep shadows devoid of detail make them appear huge and rugged. I envy the skeins of geese passing over - over the golden stubbled fields, over the hundred year old barns, over the buttes and the canyons - and straight toward those distant mountains.
